Service King Collision Repair Centers announced it officially hosted its 21st annual DFW Charity Golf Tournament on Oct. 19th and raised more than $65,000 for SafeHaven Women’s Shelter of Tarrant County.

The golf tournament took place at Frisco’s Stonebriar Country Club and attracted more than 280 golfers.

“We are so thankful for the ongoing support of Service King,” said Kathryn Jacob, CEO of SafeHaven of Tarrant County, Texas. “Because of Service King raising awareness and funds for SafeHaven, more women and children are served and receive that service at a higher quality.”

SafeHaven has served domestic violence victims in Fort Worth, Arlington and the surrounding communities for nearly four decades. As the largest and most comprehensive Tarrant County organization providing services at no cost to domestic violence victims and their children, SafeHaven helps women rebuild their lives and move from fear to freedom.

Funds raised through the Service King DFW golf event will be used for a variety of services, including the SafeShelter Program, which is the primary program providing free shelter to victims and family members. Throughout its history, Service King’s DFW charity golf event has grown into an annual fall tradition in the area, benefitting a myriad of non-profit organizations.

“This is an event our teammates look forward to every year,” said Service King President Jeff McFadden. “We’re so proud to impact communities across the country, and it all started 21 years ago at our home here in DFW. The free services SafeHaven provides to women and children throughout the area are life-changing. We’re honored to help this wonderful organization continue to serve as a guiding light for people in need.”
