service-king-logoService King Collision Repair Centers announced that it recently partnered with local community leaders, including Farmers Insurance, to make the Thanksgiving holiday unforgettable for a Phoenix-area single mother and breast cancer survivor.

On Nov. 24th, technicians from Service King’s Scottsdale repair center presented keys to a fully refurbished 2007 GMC Envoy to Theclia Holloway as part of the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) Recycled Rides program. Holloway was nominated for the giveaway by Singleton Moms, an Arizona-based non-profit organization supporting single mothers with cancer.

“The holiday season is about giving back,” said Mark Turner, Service King vice president for the Phoenix market. “When we heard Theclia’s story, our teammates wasted no time in making this giveaway a reality. Service King is in the business of serving our community, and as a core value of our company, that is what projects like this are all about.”

Holloway is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and, with the help of a new vehicle, she will now be able to more easily attend classes while also freeing up time to schedule and attend her children’s doctor’s appointments. She will also use the vehicle to assist Singleton Moms in delivering Christmas presents to children of fellow single mothers battling advanced stages of cancer across the Phoenix area.

Through its mission of nurturing single parents battling cancer, Singleton Moms helps meet the day-to-day needs of the entire family while providing hope for the future through a variety of support programs.

Meanwhile, the NABC Recycled Rides program provides an avenue through which insurance agencies, collision repair providers, local vendors and non-profit organizations join together to provide the gift of reliable transportation to a person or organization in need.
