OEM Representatives to Discuss Shop Certification at NORTHEAST 2016

With representatives from Ford, Nissan, Audi, Honda and more in a discussion led by Assured Performance Network’s Aaron Clark, the presentation will provide information on taking the most effective steps to becoming certified.

aasp-nj-logoThe Alliance of Automotive Services Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) announced that at the 2016 Annual NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show, held March 18-20 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J., the association has invited representatives from the country’s top manufacturers to gather and talk about one of the most pressing issues pervading the field today – OEM certification programs.

Whether your question involves what investments you should make in your equipment, what training you should look into and where it is held, how to market yourself once you are certified, the differences in certification for aluminum and steel, what OEM program is best for you or anything else, this panel is setting out to provide the answers. With representatives from Ford, Nissan, Audi, Honda and more in a discussion led by Assured Performance Network’s Aaron Clark, the presentation will provide information on taking the most effective steps to becoming certified.

“Our industry is becoming increasingly specialized, and in a time when it’s so hard to get proper reimbursement from insurers for the work that we do, it’s nice to have a leg up in negotiations,” said AASP/NJ Jeff McDowell. “Being on an OEM certification program is exceedingly useful when demanding insurers pay you what you’re worth. Unfortunately, not a lot of guys know where to get started, so we thought putting this panel of experts together would be the greatest benefit to those who attend the show. We’re proud that the NORTHEAST show has become the event to bring all of these manufacturers together in our region for the first time to discuss this hugely impactful topic.”

Space for the demonstration is limited, so “it is important to sign up for the show as soon as possible to be one of the first ones updated when registration for the OEM panel opens up.”

Free registration for the show is now open. To find out more about the show, visit aaspnjnortheast.com. To find out more about AASP/NJ, visit aaspnj.org.
