Service King Devotes 30-Second Super Bowl Radio Spot to ‘Mission 2 Hire’ Initiative

The spot will feature a first-person narrative told by U.S. Army Veteran Jeremiah Kuehl, who found a home at Service King after facing a period of unemployment.

Service King Collision Repair Centers announced it will dedicate a 30-second national radio spot during Westwood One’s coverage of Super Bowl 50 to its Mission 2 Hire initiative launched in May 2015, an ongoing pledge of providing at least 500 jobs to the half million unemployed veterans across the country.

The spot will feature a first-person narrative told by U.S. Army Veteran Jeremiah Kuehl, who found a home at Service King after facing a period of unemployment. Kuehl served 13 years in the Army, which included four tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as a military police officer and rocket system repairer.

“Service King is both humbled and honored to be in a position to give back to the men and women that have courageously served our country,” said Service King CEO Chris Abraham. “This Mission 2 Hire initiative is our pledge to do so. Through telling the story of our very own Jeremiah Kuehl, we hope to provide a small token of our appreciation by providing rewarding career opportunities at Service King locations across the country.”

Through Mission 2 Hire, Service King has officially pledged to recruit and hire 500 military veterans and family members in five years. Since launching the initiative in May 2015, the company is closing in on 100 successful hires as part of the initiative.

Kuehl joined the organization as part of Mission 2 Hire at its Pasadena, Calif., repair center as a service advisor intern before being promoted to a full-time service advisor in January. The Mission 2 Hire program has placed veterans at various positions across the organization from body technicians to service advisors.

“The Mission 2 Hire initiative has given me comfort because the skills I developed during my military duty are still helping me,” said Kuehl. “Through being hired at Service King, they have not gone to waste.”

Veterans and family members looking for career opportunities in the collision repair industry can visit the online home of Mission 2 Hire at www.Mission2Hire.careers or www.ServiceKing.com for full employment details.
