The Automotive Service Association (ASA) announced that its national publication, AutoInc. magazine, is now offering exclusive content available through its digital edition.

Partnering with Carm Capriotto, a 35-year automotive aftermarket veteran and owner of Remarkable Results Radio Podcast in Buffalo, N.Y., AutoInc. Audio will offer bimonthly recorded interviews with ASA-member shop owners featured in every issue of the magazine’s Member Profile section.

The first interview is available now in the digital edition of AutoInc. magazine. Readers can click on the AutoInc. Audio link on page 11 of the digital issue, which can be accessed by clicking here. It’s also available at www.autoinc.org/audio.

Each interview offers tips and techniques for owners and their staff to survive in the rapidly evolving environment of the auto service repair industry. The conversations will showcase each individual’s unique personality and business skills, as well as elicit insight, inspiration and how-tos designed to help their peers meet the challenges of running a shop in the 21st century.

“We hope that by hearing from members directly, the AutoInc. Audio interviews will inspire other shop owners to put thoughts into action, plans into place and take the present into the future,” said Leona Dalavai Scott, ASA’s director of marketing and communications.

In the first AutoInc. Audio interview, industry leader Amy Mattinat, owner of Auto Craftsmen in Montpelier, Vt., discusses the vital role networking plays in the success of a business, the importance of developing marketing strategies that appeal to women and why she spends so much time educating consumers, especially women, about how to care for their cars.

“Amy is a delight to interview because of her passion for the industry and her giving spirit,” said Carm Capriotto. “She has a great perspective on what it takes to grow and build a strong business and why networking is an important factor in successful businesses today.”

Mattinat added, “The beauty of podcasts is that you can keep learning while driving, walking, mowing the grass and listening – whenever it’s convenient to you. Plus, there’s no cost to the listener. I don’t think obtaining continuing education specific to our industry gets any easier than that.”
