The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) announced the election of Ivania Palacios Konieczka, vice president of personal insurance claims at Liberty Mutual Insurance, to its Board of Directors.
Konieczka joined Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2011 and is currently vice president of personal insurance claims for the Auto Physical Damage Product and Analytics group. She and her team are responsible for insuring Liberty’s innovation and leadership in the auto physical damage arena. Prior to becoming vice president, Konieczka was assistant VP, head of analytics for the Auto Physical Damage group, where she and her team focused on process optimization.
Before joining Liberty Mutual Insurance, Konieczka held various roles in financial planning and analysis at Discover Financial Services in Riverwoods, Ill., and in IT risk management at PriceWaterhouse Coopers in Miami. Konieczka received a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of Texas.
“Ivania brings an extraordinary amount of knowledge and expertise to CAPA’s Board,” said Jack Gillis, executive director of the nonprofit association. “Putting Ivania’s expertise in auto physical damage claims to work for CAPA will continue the longstanding and positive contribution that Liberty Mutual Insurance has made to CAPA since our founding in 1987. Ivania is joining a board of exceptional industry leaders and will, no doubt, become an important part of CAPA’s efforts to protect the marketplace from poor quality parts. Liberty Mutual, and many other diverse organizations, joining together with CAPA, are a key reason for CAPA’s continuing success. We look forward to working with Ivania.”
