S/P2 Surpasses 25 Million Tests Taken

S/P2 attributes the continued growth in course usage to growth within the career technical schools and to a growing interest amongst collision and mechanical repair facilities to keep their employees safe.

sp2-logoS/P2, an online safety training program, announced that its 25 millionth test has been taken. In 2016 alone, there have been more than 1 million tests administered within the platform.

S/P2 saw a 24-percent increase in tests taken in 2015, and 2016 is already 20 percent ahead of the same period last year. S/P2 attributes the continued growth in course usage to growth within the career technical schools and to a growing interest amongst collision and mechanical repair facilities to keep their employees safe. Over 4,000 educational institutions, employers, insurance providers and associations in the U.S. rely on S/P2 to train their members, students, and employees on safety and pollution prevention.

“The career technical instructors have always led the way in making sure that safety training was at the forefront of their curriculum,” said S/P2 President Kyle Holt. “What’s really encouraging is that in 2015 and 2016, we have seen a significant rise in the use of our training product in automotive businesses. It isn’t just an owner or manager taking the training anymore. Technicians are beginning to use S/P2 on a much greater scale. That has always been our goal. S/P2 is priced to train everyone in a facility for one low price. We are seeing the shops actively encourage their technicians to use the training to make their facilities safer, comply with OSHA regulations, and reduce injuries and illness.”

S/P2 offers educational safety training for the collision repair, automotive service, heavy-duty and diesel technology, welding, culinary, construction and cosmetology industries. Tests within each course ensure that each learner understands the material. S/P2 safety training is delivered online and culminates with a certificate of completion to demonstrate their understanding of the material.
