September 2nd is the deadline for nominations for seven open seats on the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) 2017 Board of Directors.
NABC’s mission – to develop, implement and promote community initiatives that exemplify the professionalism and integrity of the collision industry – was highlighted recently in Anaheim at the 2016 NACE | CARS Expo & Conference.
“Through the support of our NABC members, we were able to present five families with much-needed transportation through our Recycled Rides program and provide hands-on training to local firefighters with our First Responders Emergency [Extrication] Training Program (F.R.E.E),” said Chuck Sulkala, NABC executive director. “We welcome to our Board of Directors industry leaders who are committed and passionate about helping us change and save lives in local communities across the country.”
According to Sulkala, board candidates may be self-nominated, or individuals nominated by three NABC members. To qualify, the nominee must be either an individual member of the NABC or the designated representative of a company member. NABC Board members are elected for three-year terms.
The election will take place at NABC’s upcoming Annual Meeting in November at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Per NABC bylaws, proxy voting and nominations from the floor are not allowed.
