The Automotive Management Institute (AMi) held its annual “Celebration of Excellence” awards ceremony August 12th at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.

The Institute created three new awards to express its appreciation for its industry partners’ support over the past year. Two individuals and one organization were selected to receive the new awards in recognition for their support of the Automotive Management Institute’s “Next Generation” initiative:

  • The AMi Collision Training Provider of the Year – Mike Anderson, AMAM, CollisionAdvice, was recognized as the top collision repair segment training professional to embrace the “Next Generation of AMi” vision and core belief.
  • The AMi Mechanical Training Provider of the Year – Jeremy O’Neal, AMAM, AdvisorFix, was recognized as the top service repair segment training professional to embrace the “Next Generation of AMi” vision and core belief.
  • The AMi Industry Partner of the Year – the award was presented to Kukui and accepted by Todd Westerlund, CEO, in recognition for its efforts in building the new AMI website, which supports its new learning management platform.

“AMi’s successful launch of our ‘Next Generation’ is due to the commitment and dedication of Mike, Jeremy and the Kukui team,” said AMi Chairman Sheri Hamilton. “Their commitment to the future of our industry is evident in the countless hours and resources they have contributed to Ami.”

AMi President, Jeff Peevy, added, “These individuals and their companies were the first to see the “Next Generation” future for AMi and insisted on being a part of the journey. We truly appreciate their willingness to step up and make a positive difference in the industry.”
