Valspar Automotive Announces Custom Ride Lineup for SEMA 2016

Feature vehicles will showcase the company’s coatings, from an original True Blue Pearl on a 1967 Mustang Fastback from the Matrix Automotive Finishes line to a new toner from its OEM-approved brand, DeBeer Refinish, on a custom build yet to be announced.

Valspar-Auto-logoValspar Automotive announced that it will serve up its sweetest custom rides yet at the SEMA Show this year, Nov. 1-4, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Feature vehicles in the company’s booth no. 10851, North Hall, and outside of the center will showcase the company’s coatings, from an original True Blue Pearl on a 1967 Mustang Fastback from the Matrix Automotive Finishes line to a new toner from its OEM-approved brand, DeBeer Refinish, on a custom build yet to be announced.

“We receive a lot of submissions throughout the year for SEMA vehicles,” says Laura Yerkey, director of marketing, Valspar Automotive. “All are truly amazing ground-up builds finished in our paint brands, which makes the decision very difficult for us. It seems like it gets harder and harder each year, because the builds are even more amazing. This year’s vehicles are truly the best of the best.”

Set for SEMA 2016 in the Valspar Automotive booth no. 10851 (North Hall) is a 1950 Studebaker Dragster, in Matrix Automotive Finishes, by Tony Lanesky of Anton’s Hot Rod Shop of Cleveland, Ohio. There will also be a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, in Prospray Finishes, by John Wargo of The Custom Shop in Flanagan, Ill., and a custom trike, in Matrix colors, from Las Vegas’ notorious Count’s Kustoms and History Channel’s “Counting Cars.”

The fourth and final vehicle will be announced Nov. 1st, day one of the show.

“We’re keeping this vehicle under wraps until then,” said Yerkey. “The news will truly impact the refinish market on a global level and solve a major industry problem.”

Three additional vehicles will represent Valspar Automotive and its brands in various locations on the grounds outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center: a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere, in Prospray Finishes, by John Wargo of The Custom Shop in Flanagan, Ill.; a 1967 Ford Mustang, in Matrix Automotive Finishes, by Brandon Knowles of Brand-X-Customs in Everett, Wash.; and a 1947 Ford Pickup, in Valspar Refinish, by Bo Vescio of Vescio Customizing & Restoration in Minneapolis.

All body repairs made to Valspar Automotive’s SEMA 2016 feature vehicles have been done using products from the U.S. Chemical & Plastics line – booth no. 10653. For more information about Valspar Automotive, visit valsparauto.com.
