Service King recently celebrated its latest apprentice development graduating class.

The group included 42 apprentice technicians who completed the 52-week hands-on training program hosted inside Service King locations across the country.

The 2017 graduating class is comprised of technicians from nine different states across the United States, as the program continues to grow exponentially, according to Richardson, Texas-based Service King.

“This is a very proud moment for all of our graduating apprentices,” said Tyra Bremer, Service King vice president of talent development. “The entire Service King family is immensely proud of the hard work, dedication and commitment all 42 technicians displayed throughout the program. We are certainly eager to welcome them to the next stage of their careers.”

The Apprentice Development Program, launched in 2015, continues Service King’s commitment to training and investing in the next generation of skilled automotive technicians as the industry’s demand for skilled labor continues to increase. The program has graduated more than 100 certified technicians into the workforce, and plans to more than double in size next year, according to Service King.
