Mike Anderson to Help Auto Body Shops Find OEM Repair Procedures in Webinar Series

Popular auto body trainer, consultant and speaker Mike Anderson said he plans to offer a new series of free monthly webinars called “Learn to Research, Research to Learn,” with the goal of helping shops find OEM repair specifications.

Most of the webinars will include an automaker representative, Anderson noted, and attendees will be able to submit questions for Anderson or the OEM representative during the live sessions.

“I’ll be focusing on a different automaker each month, and I will walk shop owners, estimators and technicians through the process of using that OEM’s specific website to locate the repair procedures, information and position statements they need,” Anderson said.

The webinars will show body shops how to use the OEM websites and find answers to collision-specific topics as well.

For years, Anderson has been a proponent of body shops checking repair procedures for every job, and said he believes that far too few shops are doing that.

“Once you understand the automakers’ websites and begin using them, it becomes a much faster and easier process, and these webinars will help shops do that,” he said. “Repetition is key.”

The first monthly webinar will focus on Toyota’s Technical Information System. It is scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) on Feb. 21. To register, click here.

Anderson, a former shop owner, is the founder of Collision Advice and the creator of the “Who Pays for What?” surveys.
