Nagy’s Collision Centers recently chose three local charities as beneficiaries of their “Hit a Buck, Donate Some Doe” campaign: Christian Children’s Home of Ohio, Haven of Rest and Ohio Veterans Memorial Park. For every car impacted by a deer hit that is repaired at Nagy’s Collision Centers, Nagy’s will donate to these charities based on the drivers’ votes.
The months of October through December have the highest vehicle accident rates involving deer. Nagy’s goal was to turn these unfortunate incidents into something positive.
“Hitting a deer is a very unfortunate but common experience during this time of year,” said Ron Nagy, president of Nagy’s. “We believe ‘Hit a Buck, Donate Some Doe’ is a great way for drivers to feel a little better about their situation while knowing their accident is, in turn, supporting a good cause.”
The contest will run from Oct. 1 through Dec. 28. When a damaged vehicle is serviced at one of Nagy’s 11 locations, drivers will cast their vote on which of the three charities (picked by Nagy’s staff and employees) they want to receive the donations. The charities will then be ranked first, second and third based on the number of votes accumulated over the duration of deer hit season. First place will receive $2,000, second place will receive $1,500 and third place will receive $1,000.
“To Nagy’s, providing Next Level Service doesn’t just apply to what we do inside of our shops,” said Dan Nagy, vice president of Nagy’s. “It means providing that same level of service to our community and to good causes beyond Nagy’s. We are looking forward to serving our customers through deer season while also supporting local charities.”
