Focus Advisors Facilitates Sale of Two CARSTAR MSO Operations

Focus Advisors, the leading M&A firm specializing in collision repair transactions, announced it recently represented two CARSTAR franchisees in the sale of their multi-shop collision operation.

Focus Advisors, the leading M&A firm specializing in collision repair transactions, announced it recently represented two CARSTAR franchisees in the sale of their multi-shop collision operations.

Focus represented owners Jeff Middleton and Kevin Parsons in the sale of eight shops in the Seattle, Wash., area to an undisclosed buyer, and also represented Kurt and Kathy Johnson, co-owners of two shops in Puyallup, Wash., in the sale of their business to an undisclosed buyer.

David Roberts, managing director of Focus Advisors who led these transactions, said that Middleton and Parson’s premier MSO was built over more than 15 years by two classic entrepreneurs.

“As widely respected owners, Jeff and Kevin created not only a great operation but also great brand awareness of their shops in the Seattle market,” said Roberts.

Added Middleton, “The journey from a single shop in 1994 to these eight shops was both tough and rewarding. It was never easy, but Kevin and I are proud of the operations we built and the people who helped us build the business.”

“Now it’s time for the people we trained and promoted to help take these shops to the next level,” said Parsons. “We are confident they will keep delivering quality and performance for the years to come.”

Regarding Kurt and Kathy Johnson, Roberts said, “The combination of talent in the Johnson team and their staff made this a premier client. There was strong interest among multiple buyers, and the undisclosed buyer has found a gem.”

“We built a business and a family atmosphere in these shops over many years,” said Kathy Johnson. “We know the folks who helped us will find even more opportunities as they join a larger organization.”

Added Kurt Johnson, “It’s been 30 years of effort, toil and fun to get to this place. We are truly blessed with the opportunities we had along the way.”

Focus Advisors is a full-service, FINRA-registered M&A advisory firm serving collision industry entrepreneurs looking for advice about growth and sale options, representing them in raising capital or selling their businesses.
