BASF Launches New Waterborne Product for Canadian Market

BASF Canada has added a
new product – Onyx HD – to its popular R-M brand. Onyx HD is a
high-performance, environmentally compliant waterborne automotive
refinish coating that meets upcoming Canadian environmental
regulations.

Safer to use than solvent-based products, Onyx HD tinting bases
also have no shelf-life limitations and will not freeze, according to
BASF.

“We are really excited to offer Onyx HD to our customers and
potential customers,” said Antonio Leandres, RM product manager for
BASF in North America. “Collision repair centers that have already
converted to this product line experienced a very short learning curve
and are thrilled with the product compliance and performance.”

Onyx HD is currently available in Canada and will be available across the United States by the summer of 2008.
