Arizona Shop Offering ‘Cash for Claims’

Program offers $500 repair credit or $100 cash for referrals.

An Arizona shop is attempting to court customers and combat insurer steering by offering "Cash for Claims."

LG Collision Repair of Glendale, Ariz., is offering anyone who refers business to its shop either a $500 credit to be applied toward the deductible for a future repair or $100 cash through its Cash for Claims program.

In its announcement of the program, LG Collision warned consumers that insurers will try to direct claimants to "preferred" shops, and that Cash for Claims referrals should be made before vehicles are under "insurer control."

LG Collision says it’s hoping to expand the program nationwide to Better Business Bureau A-rated shops that offer lifetime warranties and have at least one year of positive reviews verified by a third party.
