Collision Repair Education Foundation Seeking Board of Trustees Candidates

The Collision Repair Education Foundation is issuing a call for candidates for their Board of Trustees and seeking industry professionals who are looking to take an active role in enhancing the future of the industry. The organization’s Board of Trustees consists of industry members who provide guidance in the organization’s efforts to support secondary and post-secondary collision students nationwide.

The Education Foundation is seeking industry members with specific skills that include: financial/in-kind support inside and outside the collision inter-industry; knowledge of grant-making and awarding; experience with investment portfolio or endowment management; and understanding of the needs from collision repair schools and colleges.

Collision Repair Education Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Doug Webb said, “The addition of motivated and qualified new board members is amongst the highest priorities of our Board Recruitment, Development & Succession Committee. Through the committee’s efforts, the four areas have been identified as particular needs at this time. We welcome interested industry members who believe they can assist the Education Foundation in one of these areas and assist the future of the industry.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Scott Kruger said, “Since 2008, the Education Foundation has been able to provide over $3 million in support to auto body students and their school programs. This success has been through the generosity of our donors and the governance of our Board of Trustees. In our efforts to assist this group in 2011 and beyond, the Education Foundation is seeking additional industry professionals to serve on our Board of Trustees and help guide this national organization to an even higher level.”
