TopTech Finder Helps Automotive Repairers Find Qualified PDR Techs, Offers Free Help to Storm States

The website provides an online search engine to connect automotive repairers and qualified PDR technicians.

TopTech Finder, an open job marketplace bringing together automotive repairers and paintless dent repair (PDR) technicians, announces its website is now available at www.toptechfinder.com. The website provides an online search engine to connect automotive repairers and qualified PDR technicians.

In addition, because of the damaging storms in the Southeast and Midwest, TopTech Finder says it is waiving all fees on jobs posted in the month of March by body repair shops in effected states.

TopTech Finder is the vision of CEO Jeff Herman, who says he developed the idea to help body repair shops easily connect with reputable PDR technicians to fix hail-damaged vehicles.

"When hail storms hit, a shop’s regular PDR resources are often overwhelmed with work. Shops are then forced to choose from techs who arrive at their door, without any knowledge of the tech’s reputation, quality of work, experience or training. Shops have told me horror stories about handing that first customer car over to an unknown tech," said Herman. "TopTech Finder solves this problem by letting repairers investigate techs before they hire them."

Repairers of all types can post their PDR jobs for free on the site. They can then search for techs and see their online profiles. Tech profiles show qualifications including experience, training, certifications and associations. If satisfied, repairers can invite techs to the job. Conversely, techs can search for and apply for jobs.

What makes TopTech Finder different, according to Herman, is that it provides transparency around reputations in the industry. It gives repairers the power to review the tech after the job with a simple five-star system. Whether a tech performed wonderfully or poorly, these reviews stay on the tech’s profile for future repairers to see before hiring.

"The idea is to lift the best techs up and encourage professionalism," said Herman.

TopTech Finder typically charges 10 percent of the job as a referral fee when a technician provides services for the repairer, which is below typical broker percentages of 20 percent or more, according to Herman. However, in support of body repair shops in storm states, TopTech Finder is waiving all fees for jobs posted by these repairers in the month of March – effectively offering a free service to both repairers and techs during this time period.

"We expected the hail season to begin in March, but no one predicted the tragic storms that hit last week. We want to help in our own way by offering free services to those impacted," said Herman.
