Evercoat Rolls Out New Polyester Primer Products

ITW Evercoat introduced new additions to its family of 4:1 polyester primer products. All new products are compatible with waterborne coatings and VOC compliant, Evercoat says.

ITW Evercoat introduced new additions to its family of 4:1 polyester primer products. All new products are compatible with waterborne coatings and VOC compliant, Evercoat says.

Evercoat’s first fiber-reinforced polyester primer surface is Fiber Fill 4:1 (#736). The company says it has excellent filling capability and added strength and flexibility compared to other polyester primers. Fiber Fill 4:1 passes 500 hours in salt spray test (ASTM B117) and can be applied over properly sanded and cleaned bare metal.

Finish Sand 4:1 (#738) is a hybrid polyester primer surfacer that provides a smooth, low-texture finish that is easy to sand and level, Evercoat says. Finish Sand 4:1 passes 500 hours in salt spray test (ASTM B117) and can be applied over properly sanded and cleaned bare metal.

ITW Evercoat has created a "how-to" video for Finish Sand 4:1.  You can view it now on YouTube.

"Evercoat works with body shops across the country to develop SOPs that will help reduce cycle time and improve efficiency whenever using our products. Shop owners and techs can review our latest video online at YouTube.com," according to Beth Skove, Director of Global Marketing at ITW Evercoat.
