The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) has announced the election of Carol Waldron of State Farm Mutual Insurance Company to CAPA’s Board of Directors.
Waldron began her State Farm career as a summer intern in the insurer’s Eastern Region while attending law school. She joined the company full-time in 1986 as an auto claims representative. In 1994, she moved to the Florida Region as a section manager, then joined the Northeastern Region as an assistant division manager in 1998. The following year, she was promoted to claims manager, responsible for auto claims in metropolitan New York. In 2004, she was promoted to director of the Business and Technology Integration Office at State Farm’s corporate headquarters. She was promoted to assistant vice president in Learning & Development in 2008, and in 2009 became the assistant vice president of Consulting Services in property and casualty claims.
“CAPA is fortunate to have Carol join us in our effort to ensure truly high quality alternative parts are readily available to the market," said CAPA Executive Director Jack Gillis. "Carol’s extensive background contributes to the broad range of industry expertise and organizations who have joined together on CAPA’s board to keep repairs affordable, cars repairable and protect consumers from poor quality. State Farm, and many other diverse organizations, joining together in CAPA provide a unique insight into issues facing the aftermarket parts industry and make an important contribution to CAPA’s continuing success. We look forward to working with Carol.”
