AirbagSolutions and Mitchell Announce Partnership

Under the terms of the agreement, the AirbagSolutions website and database can be directly accessed via Mitchell RepairCenter.

AirbagSolutions today announced a partnership with Mitchell. Under the terms of the agreement, the AirbagSolutions website and database can be directly accessed via Mitchell’s Shop Workspace solution — RepairCenter — providing OEM requirements for airbag service to shops and insurance carriers. Launched April 26, 2012, this functionality will help shops improve estimate quality, improve cycle time and save money on missed or unnecessary restraint system parts and procedures.

The integration allows shop estimators to anticipate the entire scope of airbag service on deployed systems by providing OEM requirements for specific vehicles before the estimate is committed. The photographic presentation, organized by year make and model and by deployment type, allows for quick identification of OEM requirements, possible peripheral damage, code identification and light resetting procedures all on a single page.

"We’re thrilled that Mitchell understands the value AirbagSolutions will bring to the Shop Workspace," said Douglas Gan, president and COO of AirbagSolutions. "By reducing airbag related supplements and increasing efficiency, both shops and appraisers will, in turn, be doing a better job for their customers. An accurate estimate means faster cycle times, which is good news to all Mitchell RepairCenter users."
