AkzoNobel Reformulates U-TECH Brand

AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas has announced the introduction of a newly reformulated U-TECH brand.

For more than 20 years, U-TECH has provided coatings solutions for trucks, tankers, trailers and a host of other fleet and commercial vehicles. The products within the renewed brand have been designed to meet the needs of the commercial vehicle mid-segment.

The U-TECH single-stage system features a 3-to-1 mixing ratio for all products. In addition, upgrades to the formulation provide dramatic enhancements to color accuracy and a simplified intermix tint system. The acrylic urethane products are HAPS compliant. They are available in three VOC options: 5.0, 3.5 and 2.8 lbs/gal.

“We are very excited about the ‘new-and-improved’ U-TECH brand and what it now brings to commercial vehicle mid-segment,” said Kevin Romine, CV & OEM Product Manager for AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas. “End-users will love it for the ease-of-use, the durable finish and the enhanced color accuracy. Our distributors appreciate the consolidation of the SKUs and concise, simple assortment.”
