Babcox Media Promotes Dean Martin to Publisher of Fleet Equipment

Seventeen-year veteran of Babcox Media to lead publication that serves 53,000 trucking industry professionals.

Babcox Media Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Dean Martin to Publisher of Fleet Equipment. Originating in 1974 with a print publication and followed by the additions of its website and e-newsletter, the Fleet Equipment brand is dedicated to serving the 53,000 trucking industry professionals who specify, buy and manage equipment assets for their truck fleet operations.
 
Prior to his promotion, Martin was Regional Sales Manager for the company, covering territories in the Southeast and South Central United States. A 17-year veteran of Babcox Media, Martin joined Babcox in 1996 as Associate Group Publisher for the company’s Tech Group publications. In 1999, he was named Associate Publisher of Professional NASCAR Garage, which he managed in conjunction with his current role. Prior to joining Babcox, Martin served as publisher of trade publications in the mining and construction industries.

“Dean Martin has been an integral part of the Babcox Media team for a number of years, and the industry expertise he has accrued during that time will serve him well in this new role as publisher of Fleet Equipment,” said Bill Babcox, President of Babcox Media. “We see great things ahead for the brand, and the trucking industry as a whole, and we are very excited for the future of the property with Dean at the helm.”
