Empowering Destinations, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation founded and operated by Able Body Shop and supported by local community-minded business professionals, recently held a vehicle giveaway event in Anchorage, Alaska. For the last five years, Empowering Destinations has been lending a hand to families in need of reliable transportation. This year’s vehicle giveaway event was held at Kids Day 2016.

Empowering Destinations provides vehicles to deserving families in support of their continued career goals and family obligations.

Continuing the newest tradition of two vehicles being awarded, two women walked away with vehicles for their families. Both recipients are single mothers of two young children.

During the interview process, Empowering Destinations asked every applicant, “What will you do to give back?” Both mothers, without hesitation, said they wanted to donate their current vehicles, which are either not running or on their last leg, to Empowering Destinations.
