Gerber Collision & Glass Opens New Store in One of America’s Youngest Cities

Facility located in Jacksonville, N.C., whose residents have an average age of 23, brings total number of stores to 24 in the state; 220 nationwide.

The Boyd Group Inc. has announced the opening of a new Gerber Collision & Glass location in Jacksonville, N.C. – one of the youngest cities in the U.S. Jacksonville’s residents have an average age of 23, resulting from a large local military presence. The new shop brings the total number of Boyd Group-owned stores to 24 in North Carolina and 220 nationwide.

The new facility is located between two existing locations in Havelock and Wilmington and previously operated under the name of Auto Works.

"The addition of the Jacksonville-Onslow Drive center is very well situated and allows us to expand our reach to new customers while better assisting our insurance clients," said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. "The addition of another center in North Carolina demonstrates our continued commitment in adding single-locations as we continue to execute on our strategy to grow 6 to 10 percent through single-location additions."

The Boyd Group is continuously looking to add new collision repair locations to its existing network in Canada and the U.S. Those interested should contact Kim Allen at (847) 410-6003.
