The keynote speaker at this year’s Event will be Dr. Peter Senge, Ph.D. He is a senior lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and author of the widely acclaimed book, The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of The Learning Organization. Dr. Senge will discuss the importance of learning organizations in today’s business world and how organizations can enhance the capacity of all people to work productively toward common goals. He has worked with leaders in business, education, health care and government.

John Van Alstyne, I-CAR CEO and president, stated, “I-CAR’s role-relevant training is well positioned to positively contribute to industry wide needs, such as the evolution of vehicle technology, the increasing need for workforce knowledge and career development, and the significant need for businesses to continuously improve operating performance. Dr. Senge’s presentation will be beneficial to attendees interested in understanding how education and training directly impacts the framework for efficient, performance-oriented work environments.”

Van Alstyne continued, “During the Event, I-CAR will also announce plans for enhancing its service offering designed specifically for Career and Technical Schools and Colleges, as well as other important updates on I-CAR, including the progress made over the past year with the premiere of the I-CAR Professional Development Program. Attendees at the event will also have the opportunity to attend informational ‘Tech Clinics’ presented by Vehicle Manufacturers including Porsche, Chrysler, and Ford.”
