Marjorie Brody to Keynote Third WIN Conference

The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) will host its third annual conference March 22 to 24, 2009 at the Omni Parkwest in Dallas, Texas.

The keynote speaker at this year’s conference will be Marjorie Brody, an internationally recognized speaker who has authored over 18 books and served as key advisor to the media and broadcast industries. Brodie will speak about the vital characteristics, behaviors and strategies that lead to personal and career growth.

Other speakers will present on managing change, reading and understanding financial documents, and employment law issues impacting a diverse workplace. John Edelen, president and CEO of I-CAR, will present this year’s industry overview.

“We strive to balance the content of our conference taking into consideration the diversity of our membership, which includes women who regularly attend many industry events, students and those who may have been in the industry for a while, but have never attended an industry event,” said Frederica Carter of Akzo Nobel Coatings, Chair of the 2009 conference. “We find that apart from the stimulating conference material, attendees really enjoy networking in an environment where everyone is welcome regardless of their background.”

Brochures and registration materials for the 2009 WIN Conference will be mailed and available on the WIN Web site, www.womensindustrynetwork.com, by Jan. 10.
