Mayfield Collision Centers announced it will be opening another location in Bedford Heights, Ohio, which it says will help create more than 25 new jobs and contribute more than $1 million to the local economy.
“Despite these tough economic times, Mayfield Collision Centers has been successful and we’re continuing to grow,” said president Tom Griffin, who founded the company more than 17 years ago in South Euclid. “As we looked for locations to expand, we saw a number of positives with the Bedford Heights area including access to transportation, particularly the great location and easy access to I-271 and Rockside Road, close proximity to a number of local new and used car dealerships, and most of all, a real sense of partnership with city officials.”
Griffin says that Mayfield Collision Centers prides itself on accommodating customers and exceeding their expectations, citing 99 percent customer approvals ratings, industry-leading cycle times and sustainable practices.
“We feel it’s imperative to take every customer through every phase of the repair process so they understand what we’re doing and what to expect during every phase of the process,” said Griffin, who is former president of the Coyote Vision Group, a group of collision repair owners/managers from around the U.S. and Canada who advocate the pursuit of excellence, customer service and leadership and management training.
Griffin also credited Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corporation headquartered in Warrensville Heights for helping tie-in with his company’s culture, offering collision center design services and providing product and training for Mayfield Collision’s recent conversion to the AWX Waterborne Basecoat System.
“We’re very pleased to switch to this new coating system and will continue to give our customers superior results for their collision repairs as well as help to improve our air quality,” said Griffin, whose shop became one of the first in Ohio to convert to low-VOC basecoats. “We didn’t switch because we had to, but because it’s a win-win situation; by transitioning to waterborne, we’ve made a commitment to our customers and our community.”
