PPG 2008 Releases Import Color Information Book

PPG has introduced its all-new 2008 Import Color Information Book. The book complements the previously released 2008 Domestic Color Information Book. Together, the two books provide comprehensive coverage of vehicles being repaired in the United States today.

The book makes use of PPG’s exclusive SideView Window format, which provides an open window adjacent to each color chip. The SideView Window – which also can be found in the 2008 Domestic Color Information Book – allows the user to place a color chip page over any part of the vehicle to identify the OEM code that best matches the required repair. In addition, both books feature color chips mounted on special gray paper that improves a technician’s ability to see subtle differences between similar colors. Information regarding the location of paint codes is found on the motor manufacturer tab pages.

To obtain a copy of the 2008 Import Color Information Book or to learn more about other PPG color identification tools, contact your local PPG distributor after June 2. Visit www.ppgrefinish.com to find a distributor near you, or call the PPG Customer Focus Center at (800) 647-6050.
