PPG Appoints New General Manager, Refinish USCA

PPG announced that Gregory Benckart has been appointed to general manager, Automotive Refinish USCA and will assume North American responsibilities for PPG’s automotive refinish business effective March 1. Benckart is currently the general manager, sales and marketing, N.A. automotive refinish. He will continue to maintain an office at the Refinish headquarters located in Strongsville, Ohio, and report to John R. Outcalt.

Benckart has been with PPG for more than 29 years and has held various sales and marketing positions of increased responsibility including manager of distribution for Fiber Glass Reinforcements, director of marketing for OEM Automotive Glass, director of sales for Chlor-Alkali and general manager for Fiber Glass. He was named to his current position in June 2009.

Benckart holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Wooster and earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
