The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has released all three sessions of the 2019 OEM Collision Repair Technology Summit from the SEMA Show on their YouTube channel.
The newest of the three videos released was the final panel of the day, featuring representatives of Audi of America, Jaguar Land Rover, Reliable Automotive Equipment, Spanesi Americas and Pro Spot International discussing meeting the OEM expectation in welding.
The nearly two-hour long program explores the topic of resistance welding, one of the most critical steps in joining together the structural elements of a vehicle – and one that can be impacted by both practice and process within a repair facility. The panel, led by VECO Experts CEO Mark Olson, focuses on improving weld performance through maintenance, frequent training, practice protocols, destructive testing and quality control considerations, and expands on questions posed by the live audience.
The first two panels of the day are also available on the association channel, including the morning session from the OEM Collision Repair Technology Summit exploring emerging trends in automotive technology featuring SEMA, Material Sciences Corporation and DEKRA Services, Inc.
Also, a fast-paced panel discussion led by Mike Anderson of Collision Advice featuring Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Toyota Motor North America, Subaru of America, Inc., and American Honda Motor Co. as they highlight accessibility and use of OEM procedures, and resources that exist in the way of help lines, technical support and other means to support repair facilities that have adopted an OEM focus on repairs.
