Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation, a Seattle-based charity, was recently gifted a handicap conversion van to support disabled veterans and others in need of disabled transportation.
On Jan. 31, Precision Collision Auto Body of Bellevue, Wash., says a program that has been in the works for over a year came to an end and a beginning when the shop and GEICO gifted this vehicle via the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) Recycled Rides program.
Other companies that participated include PPG Industries, LKQ, Valet Detail and Goodrich. Allstate Insurance donated the towing transport from Southern California to Seattle for the repairs, Precision Collision noted.
In all, more than 150 vehicles were refurbished and donated via the 2011 Recycled Rides initiative.
