SEMA Attendees Win Prizes Through SCRS Raffle Drawing

During last week’s SEMA Show, the Society of Collision Repair Specialists gave away a series of great prizes from sponsors of its RDE series.

To become eligible for the drawing, visitors to the SCRS booth had to pick up a "report card" listing all RDE sponsors and their booth locations within the show. The participant then had to visit each RDE sponsor’s exhibit, have a company representative stamp the card, and return the completed card to the SCRS booth for entry into the drawing.

One lucky winner was Jeff Carlson, owner of the Refinishing Touch Inc. in Clackamas, Ore., who received a UNIPLAST Bumper Stapler donated by Spanesi Americas.

"Learning that we had won this tool was awesome and a great way to kick off the SEMA Show, which I try to come to every year because I can learn how to better run my business while having a little bit of fun," said Carlson. "This tool is going to be great for repairing small tears and rips in plastic bumpers, which we see all the time. We’ll put it to good use."

Thursday’s winner was John Cusiamano of Cusiamano CARSTAR Collision in Falconer, N.Y., who received a Goliath G1 Mobile Workstation Cart. This multi-purpose tool is a completely AC-powered repair workstation mounted on wheels that, when combined with a shop’s existing wireless technology, provides a mobile solution for the repairer’s computing needs. It functions as a “desk on wheels” for the shop employee, bringing applications, printers and other technology to the side of the repaired vehicle.

“When I got the call from SCRS, it was like a dream come true," said Cusiamano. “It’s really a hassle to keep moving back and forth between the computer and the car when you’re doing supplements. With this mobile workstation, it’ll all be there in one place right where it should be.”
