The front end of a practically brand-new Ferrari 458 with about 500 miles on it was crushed, monster-truck style, by a Ford F-150 pickup in Brandon, Fla., last week. Citizen journalist and YouTube aficionado James Worley caught the messy aftermath on video, sharing it on the video site and with local news site Examiner.com.
Witnesses who commented on the video claim that just before the accident, the Ferrari allegedly was trying to illegally pass a stopped car to get into a left turning lane, and the vehicle was stopped to let the F-150 pull out of a car wash and into traffic.
The car, which has an MSRP of $225,000 per Edmunds.com, had an estimated $25,000 in damage, several repairers told Examiner.com.
The Ferrari’s owner is easy to spot in the video he’s wearing the yellow t-shirt that says "Scudieri Ferrari" across the chest.
