Texas I-CAR to Hold Inaugural Johnny Dickerson Golf Fundraiser

Texas I-CAR Committees to Hold Inaugural Johnny Dickerson Memorial Golf Fundraiser in October

Funds raised will assist Johnny Dickerson Memorial Fund and local collision school programs through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

The Texas I-CAR Committees have partnered together to organize the inaugural Johnny Dickerson Golf Memorial Fundraiser that will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland, Texas. Funds raised through this event will benefit both the Johnny Dickerson Memorial Fund and local collision school programs through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

Johnny Dickerson was involved with I-CAR for over 30 years, working with their field operations team and as a performance training coordinator. He unexpectedly passed away in March of 2015.

“Johnny was such a friend and mentor to not just me but so many people in the industry,” said Greg Babbitt, North Texas State Chair for I-CAR. “Johnny impacted everyone in the industry through education, training and most importantly friendship.”

Chris Stilwell, South Texas State chair for I-CAR, added, “To have the opportunity to gather Johnny’s family, friends and colleagues in his hometown of Garland and celebrate his life is truly an honor for us all here in Texas. Being able to support Texas schools through the Collision Repair Education Foundation at the same time is icing on the cake!”

Industry members looking to support this event through golf registration and event sponsorship can visit www.JDMemorialFundraiser.org or contact Greg Babbitt or Chris Stilwell for additional information.
