The Society of Collision Repair Specialists has created a new collision news website. Called Repairer Driven News, it details the latest news, industry events and top trending stories in the collision repair industry. Categories include:

  • Technology
  • Repair operations

  • Business practices

“RDN was formed to provide news and information from a vantage point that would unabashedly be catered to those in the collision repair business,” said SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg. “Our stories and focus will not be influenced by anything other than keeping the businesses that perform collision repair connected to the information that matters most to them. We believe that a well-informed industry is a more viable industry, so we worked to develop more personalized experiences that allow our followers to customize how their information is accessed and announced. We believe that ‘connecting the dots’ is important, and that stories should contain more than just what is happening, but also foster an understanding of why it matters. We will provide this focused information in a more streamlined manner that promotes flexibility and connectivity through a website and custom mobile application designed to efficiently provide access to original content and reports from other existing sources in one industry-leading destination. Our vision is one where collision repair businesses are empowered by the information at their fingertips.”

Perhaps last month's Guess the Car got you singing, "New York, New York," by Frank Sinatra, or "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel. A coworker who bought an old gold early 1980s Chrysler New Yorker inspired us to create last month's brain bender, the answer to which, of course, was New Yorker = (Chrysler) New Yorker.
