Service King Collision Repair Centers announced further expansion in the Chicago metro area with the acquisition of Loro Auto Works.
The merger marks Service King’s second in the Chicago area this year as the company now extends services to customers at 14 locations in the area. The deal, of which terms were not disclosed, officially closed Feb. 27. Loro Auto Works operated a single location in Oak Park, Ill.
“We are honored to extend our Chicago footprint further into Cook County with this partnership,” said Jerod Guerin, Service King Collision Repair Centers regional vice president. “The Loro team has built a solid reputation in Oak Park, and we are excited to continue building on the reputation.”
Service King now operates 230 facilities in 21 states across the country.
Bob Loro founded Loro Auto Works in 1982 to provide collision repair services while maintaining a focus on the needs of the individual customer. The team serves customers in Oak Park and surrounding communities with a 36,000-square-foot facility, one of the largest body shops in the area.
“It is my pleasure after 32 years of business in the Oak Park community to join the Service King nationwide network of collision repair facilities,” said Loro. “I chose Service King to carry on the fine tradition of expert collision repair and painting that Oak Park has come to expect. The staff will remain to continue to meet this high standard that has become the trademark of our repairs. It is my sincerest hope that Oak Park will continue to support the staff and Service King as a company as they continue to serve Oak Park and the surrounding communities’ collision repair needs now and in the future.”
Service King Collision Repair Centers also announced the acquisition of Central Collision Centers on March 2.
