Chief Automotive Technologies announced it has launched a new “Collisionology” blog that aims to help collision repair professionals learn about the latest industry news, techniques and equipment. Launched in April at blog.chiefautomotive.com, Collisionology provides readers with insights to help them succeed in the evolving vehicle repair industry.

“Automakers are rapidly changing the way vehicles are designed and built,” says David Fischmer, marketing director for Chief parent company Vehicle Service Group (VSG). “And the more we can help educate technicians, estimators, shop owners and others in the industry about today’s essential practices and products, the more confident they will be. The Chief team has a vast amount of collision repair knowledge, and the Collisionology blog provides the perfect outlet for us to share it with our customers.”

Collisionology will be updated multiple times each week. Readers can subscribe and receive email notifications when new entries are posted, or browse previous posts by topic. Topics covered so far include cycle time improvements, aluminum welding and frame rack selection.

For additional, in-depth reading, each entry includes a downloadable guide with information related to the entry’s topic. Readers can comment on each entry, or share the post on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+.

“Collisionology is not just a resource for news,” says Fischmer. “It is also a tool for collision repair industry members to interact with Chief and each other.”
