I-CAR to Host Technology-Driven Presentations at SEMA 2015

In addition to delivering technical presentations at SEMA, I-CAR will be offering some of its newest and most popular courses

I-CAR announced it will once again hold vehicle technology discussions at SEMA. Attendees at this year’s show can listen to forward-thinking presentations and watch live demonstrations on relevant topics and trends the collision repair industry is facing today.

Starting Nov. 3rd, I-CAR’s Jason Bartanen, director of industry relations, will kick off a full schedule of speakers at I-CAR’s SEMA Collision Repair & Refinish Stage, where attendees will learn about the latest vehicle-specific trends and procedures that contribute to complete, safe and quality repairs. On Nov. 5th, Bartanen will also co-present with Kristen Felder of Collision Hub on “Cool Tools,” a presentation that will offer an overview of a handful of clever new tools designed for today’s collision repair professionals.

I-CAR has a full lineup of vehicle-related presentations from Ford on the 2015 F-150, General Motors on repairing the Cadillac CT6, BMW on the efficiencies of carbon fiber and the repair process, Toyota on overcoming repair concerns, Fiat Chrysler on structural repair techniques with carbon fiber and Audi on advanced repair technology.

In addition to OEM presentations, the I-CAR stage will include presentations by I-CAR technical experts on MIG brazing, rivet and rivet bonding. Also, Abaris will present on carbon fiber repair. Attendees can also stop by daily to test their welding knowledge during one of I-CAR’s interactive welding destructive tests.

“We are excited to continue connecting the industry with relevant and critical information through OEM technical presentations, live demonstrations and I-CAR presenters at SEMA 2015,” said John Van Alstyne, CEO and president of I-CAR. “Our connectivity to automakers, suppliers, and technical experts across the industry allows I-CAR to provide opportunities for valuable and robust technical discussions on the I-CAR stage that lead to building new levels of knowledge across our industry.”

In addition to delivering technical presentations at SEMA, I-CAR will be offering some of its newest and most popular courses, including Vehicle Technology and Trends 2016 (NEW16) – to help support repair businesses achieving or maintaining Gold Class recognition – and Synchronizing Workflow through Team Communication (PM120L01) for professionals working to complete ProLevel 1 within I-CAR’s recently launched Production Management role.
