PartsTrader Integrates with CollisionLink

OE parts dealers and their collision shop customers can now use a single streamlined workflow for electronic parts ordering.

PartsTrader announced that it has integrated with CollisionLink, allowing OE parts dealers and their collision shop customers to now use a single streamlined workflow for electronic parts ordering.

Over 1,700 dealers are currently using this integration to deliver time and cost savings and provide greater accuracy in ordering and fulfillment, while providing easier access to OEM parts pricing programs.

“With the integration enabled, our parts team is able to match parts numbers quickly and efficiently.  Incorrect parts numbers are quickly identified and corrected, saving us considerable time, especially on larger jobs,” said Steve Richardson, parts manager with David McDavid Honda of Irving, Texas. “The increase in accuracy has also helped lower our return rate as well.”

Collision repairers submitting their quote requests in the PartsTrader application will receive quotes back from participating dealers in PartsTrader with approved OEM pricing programs applied. Similarly, dealers will use the CollisionLink system to apply available OEM pricing programs to PartsTrader quotes and orders without leaving the CollisionLink solution.

“Working in only one program and not having to switch between two screens is an immediate benefit for my team,” said Bobby Williams, parts manager for Continental Acura of Naperville, Ill. “The simplified workflow allows my parts team to respond with competitive pricing faster to our collision repair shop customers and provides us with more opportunities to sell parts.”

The integration is currently being rolled out across the U.S. over the next several weeks. Dealers that are current users of both the PartsTrader and CollisionLink solutions are being invited to participate. Upon successfully integrating, these dealers benefit immediately from a simplified workflow and monthly cost savings on their PartsTrader subscription fees. They will also see reduced part returns with automatic parts number verification provided through CollisionLink.
