AASP/NJ Schedules New Technology Training

Larry Montanez of P&L Consultants will be conducting an overview/training seminar covering metallurgy, new repair technologies and modern joining processes.

aasp-nj-logoThe Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) has announced the scheduling of two regional meetings featuring Larry Montanez of P&L Consultants. Montanez will be conducting an overview/training seminar covering metallurgy, new repair technologies and modern joining processes. All attendees who complete the training will receive a training certificate that will qualify for renewal of shops’ 2016 New Jersey Auto Body License. The northern seminar will take place June 30th at the Holiday Inn in Totowa, N.J.; the southern July 7th meeting will be hosted at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Toms River, N.J. Both meetings will start at 7 p.m.

“Attendees can expect to come away with a better understanding of what is required to repair the modern vehicles on the roads today,” said AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant. “With the current changes taking place in the collision industry, this is a must-attend meeting.”

Added Montanez, “Hopefully, after the program, enough shops will be awoken to the rapidly changing vehicle design and construction changes utilized by the OEMs, not only because of the stringent safety regulations but also the CAFE rules for gas mileage. Additionally, we will be seeing more mixed-material (steel/aluminum/plastic) economical vehicles within the next few years.”

Meetings are open to AASP/NJ members and nonmembers.

For sign-up forms for the meeting or more information on AASP/NJ, visit www.aaspnj.org or contact Charles Bryant at (732) 922-8909.
