Erie 1 BOCES and Carubba Collision Receive Collaboration Award

The Buffalo, N.Y.-based MSO donated approximately $25,000 worth of equipment and supplies to the Erie 1 BOCES Career and Technical Education Collision Repair program.

Carubba Collision of Buffalo, N.Y., and Erie 1 BOCES have been awarded for their collaboration in developing a partnership to aid students.

The joint effort was recognized recently at the 38th annual Erie County Association of School Boards (ECASB) dinner meeting at Salvatore’s Restaurant with a presentation of the Collaboration Award of Honor, sponsored by Hodgson Russ, LLP. Accepting the award on behalf of Carubba Collision was Vice President of Operations Randy Pinkowski, who serves as the chairman of the advisory board for auto body collision of Erie 1 BOCES.

Carubba Collision donated approximately $25,000 worth of equipment and supplies. Carubba Collision has been a driving force in developing the partnership with the Erie 1 BOCES Career and Technical Education Collision Repair program, and has provided students with job preparation through shadowing opportunities, mock interviews for real positions and paid summer internships. Furthermore, at the end of the two-year curriculum, students from the collision repair program are guaranteed a job interview with Carubba Collision.
