Nissan Reports Lower Overall Sales But Record Month for Trucks, SUVs

Overall, the automaker’s U.S. sales (129,930 units) were down 4 percent compared to February 2017.

February was a good news-bad news month for Nissan in the United States.

Overall, the automaker’s U.S. sales (129,930 units) were down 4 percent compared to February 2017.

But Nissan’s trucks and SUVs set a February record for the automaker, with sales up 9 percent year-over-year.

The Nissan Rogue had its best February, with 38,119 units sold, up 15 percent from February 2017.

Sales of the Frontier truck jumped 69 percent, to 7,992 units, while sales of the Titan pickup jumped 26 percent, to 3,761 units.

The Murano and Armada each posted year-over-year sales gains of 11 percent, according to Nissan.
