Ford reported a nearly 7-percent year-over-year decline in U.S. vehicle sales for February, despite another strong month for its bread-and-butter F-Series.
The automaker sold 194,132 vehicles in February, down from 208,440 vehicles in February 2017.
F-Series pickup trucks continue to be Ford’s mainstay. In February, Ford sold more F-Series trucks (68,243) than cars (44,498) or SUVs (65,250).
It was the best February for the F-Series in 18 years, and the 10th consecutive month of sales gains for the series, according to Ford.
