Global Finishing Solutions Breaks Ground on Center for Excellence in Wisconsin

The 80,000-square-foot facility will house a state-of-the-art training and product R&D center with additional space for expansion.

Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) announced it has broken ground on its new Center for Excellence in Osseo, Wis. The 80,000-square-foot facility will house a state-of-the-art training and product R&D center with additional space for expansion. This investment aligns with GFS’s commitment to bring high-quality, proven innovations quickly to market. Construction will be completed by August 2016.

“Our new building will truly showcase our latest advanced paint booth technologies, including our REVO Accelerated Curing Systems, in order to demonstrate for our distributors and customers how our newest products dramatically improve body shop repair efficiency and quality,” said GFS President Jim Faragher. “The new R&D area accommodates our growing product line and faster pace for introducing revolutionary new products to the industry.”

The Center for Excellence training area will allow GFS employees, distributors and customers to continuously improve support, service and understanding of the latest GFS products. To make certain that the hands-on training experience accurately reflects field experience, GFS designed the facility with full preparation and paint areas to closely mirror a working body shop. The design gives GFS engineers new capabilities to develop, field test, modify and then re-test new technology quickly to deliver value-added products to market faster.

State-of-the-art training will be offered in a dual-bay downdraft GFS Ultra XR CTOF paint booth integrated with the REVO Rapid OR2 curing system. Configured for single-stall repair, this new equipment combination will allow users to see how REVO Systems reduce cycle time and allow shop technicians to complete each stage of an auto body repair in one spot, without having to move the vehicle. Additionally, GFS will install an Ultra XR downdraft paint booth integrated with the REVO Speed for hands-on practice. Two Ultra XD paint mix rooms will complete the Training Center floorplan.

“Creating the Center for Excellence with cutting-edge body shop processes and equipment fully aligns with our strategy of continuously improving our service to the market,” said Faragher.

The center will allow GFS to demonstrate the advantages of its most advanced, game-changing systems while also teaching proper use, tips and safety techniques. GFS is currently scheduling distributor training sessions to begin in summer 2016.
