Penske Truck Leasing Opens New Body Shop in Georgia

Penske Truck Leasing announced the opening of a new collision repair center in the Atlanta suburb Lithia Springs, Ga. The new, 20,000-square-foot facility provides collision services for chassis, body and trailer repairs, vehicle refinishing, and frame and alignment work for commercial trucks and vehicles. The facility serves the needs of Penske’s own truck fleet and contract customers as well as commercial truck fleets from other regional businesses.

“This facility helps us keep pace with the demand for repair services in the greater Atlanta region and also supports our existing facility in Norcross,” said John Crockett, Senior Vice President – Southeast Region, Penske Truck Leasing. “We expect to hire additional associates and expand our hours of operation in 2009 as we gain additional customers throughout Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.”

The facility, which sits on seven acres, has five service bays and uses special light fixtures that reduce energy use by 50 percent.

“We’ve installed special high-efficiency paint spray booths that help filter the great majority of emissions to protect the environment,” Frank Mileto, senior vice president of business ventures for Penske Truck Leasing, said of the facility. “These booths employ smart technology that minimizes energy and fuel consumption, and has an improved air filtration system.”

Penske Truck Leasing operates 16 other commercial truck collision repair centers across North America. The collision center is open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (678) 626-2201 or visit www.gopenske.com.
