Urethane Supply Company Hires New I-CAR Instructors for Plastic Repair Course

Ben Else and Darrin Mitchell will now be able to teach “Introduction to Nitrogen Plastic Welding” at shops in Oregon, Utah, Idaho, western Colorado and western Wyoming.

Urethane Supply Company announced the hiring of two new instructors who will deliver the company’s new I-CAR Industry Training Alliance course on plastic repair. “Introduction to Nitrogen Plastic Welding” is a three-hour course delivered in the customer’s shop for up to three technicians. Each technician gets hands-on training with five common bumper repair scenarios, including on thermoset polyurethane, aka the “yellow plastic.”

Ben Else, who was hired in Portland, Ore., has 13 years of experience in sales and service in industrial coatings and equipment with Industrial Finishes. He received factory training on Urethane Supply’s I-CAR Industry Training Alliance course in June 2015 and will be able to deliver training to shops all over Oregon at their request.

Darrin Mitchell, who was hired in Salt Lake City, currently is an equipment salesman for Auto Body Paint and Supply in Salt Lake City. He has 25 years of experience as a body technician, painter and body shop owner. In addition to his sales duties, Mitchell also serves as an I-CAR instructor for steel and aluminum welding. He received factory training on Urethane Supply’s I-CAR Industry Training Alliance course in June 2015 and will be able to deliver training to shops in Utah, Idaho, western Colorado and western Wyoming at their request.
