Maaco Auto Painting and Collision Repair, part of the Driven Brands family of automotive aftermarket franchise brands, has been ranked in Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500.

Recognized by entrepreneurs and franchisors as a top competitive tool of measurement, the Franchise 500 places Maaco 228th on the list.

Since 1972, Maaco has grown to more than 500 independently owned auto painting and collision repair facilities across North America.

“It’s an honor to be recognized among the top companies in the world,” said Jason Ryan, president of Maaco Auto Painting and Collision Repair. “Through the past year, we have strengthened our operational and financial performance and focused on strategic growth for our network. This a tremendous sign that we are on the right path for success.”

The key factors that go into Entrepreneur’s evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength and financial strength and stability. All franchises are given a cumulative score based on more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.

In 2017, Maaco celebrated its 500th location, in Dallas; saw strong growth and performance improvements at its U.S. and Canadian locations; and ushered in a new focus on technology and training for its franchisees, the company noted.
