CARSTAR Announces Opening of CARSTAR American Collision Experts in Michigan

CARSTAR has announced the opening of CARSTAR American Collision Experts in Waterford Township, Mich.

CARSTAR has announced the opening of CARSTAR American Collision Experts in Waterford Township, Mich.

Between owner Ken Lawrence and his main technician, the shop features over 50 years of collision repair experience, with plans to continue the acceleration of the business.

“Since I could pick up a broom, maybe at 5 years old, I have been in the collision repair industry as my father and uncle both owned their own facilities,” said Lawrence. “When the CARSTAR team reached out to me, it was so refreshing to talk to them because they were so passionate about the business and they helped me to realize I could get the support I needed without selling out and becoming a corporately owned store.”

CARSTAR American Collision Experts is a 10,000-square-foot facility equipped with state-of-the-art tools to provide repairs to all vehicle makes and models. CARSTAR American Collision Experts also has I-CAR Gold status as well as its ASE Master Certification.

“With the rapid progression of our industry, it can be difficult for stores to stay ahead of advancements and ensure their technicians not only earn key certifications but uphold them with continuous training,” said Michael Macaluso, president, CARSTAR. “Ken is an absolute professional, and you can tell how much respect he has for his trade because of the investment he puts into both his facility and technicians.”

Eager to give back to the community he works and lives in, Lawrence looks forward to participating in the CARSTAR charitable cause, fighting cystic fibrosis, on top of his continued philanthropic efforts including holiday donations and sponsoring local initiatives.
