LKQ Announces Exclusive Distribution Agreement With GUNIWHEEL

GUNIWHEEL, based in Alpharetta, Ga., manufactures the GUNIWHEEL45, a universal four- and five-lug-bolt-pattern transport wheel that can be used as an alternative to jack stands or lifts.

LKQ Corp. has reached an agreement with GUNIWHEEL LLC for the exclusive distribution of the GUNIWHEEL System for North America and Europe.

GUNIWHEEL, based in Alpharetta, Ga., manufactures the GUNIWHEEL45, a universal four- and five-lug-bolt-pattern transport wheel, with accompanying accessories, that can be used as an alternative method to other cumbersome temporary jack stands or lifts. When a vehicle has damaged or missing wheels, the use of GUNIWHEELS provides a temporary wheel for the vehicle to function, while enabling it to move safely and freely through the repair process.

According to the manufacturer, GUNIWHEEL provides a cost-effective solution to a common problem faced by numerous automotive businesses and car enthusiasts. By incorporating GUNIWHEEL, automotive businesses can increase production and improve vehicle on-time delivery by keeping the vehicle mobile throughout the repair process, according to the company.

“Our team discovered this product at the 2018 SEMA Show and we knew this was a perfect fit for the LKQ distribution network, for both our North American and European businesses,” said Terry Fortner, vice president of sales and marketing at LKQ Corp.

GUNIWHEEL President Sergio Rovito added, “As a small manufacturer of a solution-based product, what better distribution partner could we have found than LKQ with their extensive sales and distribution capabilities? We knew after our first meeting that this was going to be something special for both companies. It is great to see that a company the size of LKQ [is] willing to partner with entrepreneurial startups. This told me a lot about the organization.”

The GUNIWHEEL product is currently available in the U.S. in limited markets with inventory expansion planned throughout North America by August. GUNIWHEEL will be sold through LKQ’s Keystone Automotive subsidiary with more than 170 North American distribution locations. European distribution is slated to begin in 2020.
